Privacy Policy — Test Console

Last updated: 03 June 2026

1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)

Test Console ("the app", "we") is operated by Rameez Akhtar, an individual based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. We are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). Contact / Grievance Officer: ramease.work@gmail.com.

2. What this covers

This policy explains what personal data Test Console collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and your rights. Test Console is a community where Android developers test one another's apps to help meet Google Play's closed-testing requirement.

3. Data we collect (itemised)

Account (pseudonymous). When you sign in with Google, we store a Google user ID (uid) and a display handle. We do not store your name or email address — Google Sign-In handles authentication; your email stays with Google.

Feedback you choose to give (optional). If you submit a daily check-in, we collect: the outcome (Worked fine / Found an issue / Didn't open), an optional free-text note, an optional severity tag, and an optional feature tag. This is personal data and is shared only with the developer of the app you are testing.

App listings you create. If you list your own app, we store the app name, package name, your Play opt-in link, your Google Group join info, a one-liner, category and interest tags. This is your own recruitment information — shown to other community members so they can choose to test your app.

Advertising data (Google AdMob). If you watch an optional rewarded ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google your Advertising ID, IP address, in-app interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and fraud-prevention. You can reset/delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

We do NOT collect: precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, health, financial data, or your testers' email addresses (those live in your Google Group, managed by Google, never stored by us).

4. Why we use it (purpose per category)

5. Consent

Creating feedback is optional and opt-in — the app works without it. You may withdraw consent at any time (in the app, or by emailing us); withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

6. Who we share data with (processors & third parties)

We do not sell your personal data. Data is processed on Google/Cloudflare infrastructure that may be located outside India (including the United States), in accordance with applicable law.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

You may: access your data, request correction or erasure, withdraw consent, raise a grievance, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. To exercise any right, email ramease.work@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days.

9. How to delete your account and data

In the app, open Profile → Delete account (removes everything) or Profile → Delete my data (removes just your feedback). You can also email ramease.work@gmail.com, or see our dedicated account & data deletion page. We delete your uid, handle, feedback and listings within 7 days. Your Advertising ID is not stored by us — reset it in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Security/abuse logs (no profile data) are kept up to 90 days, then deleted.

10. Children

Test Console is intended for app developers aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 or show them personalised ads. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access is protected by Firebase App Check and server-side Firestore Security Rules. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable safeguards.

12. Data breach

If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.

13. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
